Justin Hall on wireless blogging

|

Justin Hall has a good piece on how broader wireless will help expand and redefine weblogging and news gathering. He manages to coherently pull together all these important events (below) and news points into a compelling arguement for the greater impact of wireless on society.
- the Joe Nacchio shaming
- Marcos Lara's Public Internet Project
- Howard Rheingold's Smart Mobs meme and ideas
- J-Phones and Danger's Hiptop (both camera-equipped cellphones)
- and the idea of a mobile blog or moblog

The Feature - From Weblog to Moblog
So weblogs in the future, on our phones, might not exist as an old media analogue: discreet publications, edited by one discreet group of people. Rather they might be something more organic: particular headlines or stories are flagged or read or marked with exclamation points by people listed in our phonebook, important news elected by a related plurality. Smart mobs of reporters, smart mobs of readers.
