quick! sell short Google!

Surreal or simply stupid? This reeks of a "team building exercise."

I like it. It has a kid feel but it would probably be pretty effecive for older web clueless folk

Heck, I just liked it on its own merits. Who wouldn't want to work in a place that did fun puppet plays as promotional materials.

I could explain why this little film works so well, but I have no time. Suffice it to say the work is a little more subtly crafted than you might think. The garage-level aesthetic has been carefully honed, here.

Alas, at my office, a good day is organizing some three-handed Mario Kart DS.

I'm with Ryan, this may seem cheesy but the timing on the card-drops is heart-warmingly perfect, and the acting is dry but the lighting is amazing (compare it to some of the other youtube stuff and notice the lack of grain on the image).

This pretty much goes with everything I've ever seen from Gmail, their perpetual beta, that cute hand-drawn graph they used to tell everyone that 1gb was a starting point not a goal. They're trying to seem homespun all the way. I think the product is supposed to sell itself by word of mouth, this stuff is just branding for customers who already use it.
