D’oh.
Right movie, wrong Bond Girl.
I went to Google and checked. The photo is “Aki” Akiko Wakabayashi in “You Only Live Twice” with Mie Hama as the first Asian “Bond Girls”.
Aki to Bond: “I think I will enjoy very much serving under you.”

The rumors of Bond “halfu” son… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Only_Live_Twice
Bond ultimately exacts revenge on Blofeld in a sword fighting duel, but, on escaping, suffers a head injury leaving him an amnesiac living as a Japanese fisherman with Kissy, while the rest of the world believes him dead. While Bond’s health improves Kissy conceals his true identity so as to keep him forever to herself, even going as far to marry him in a Japanese ceremony (Kissy never officially becomes his wife). At the novel’s end, however, Bond finds a paper slip with the name Vladivostok written on it, making him wonder if the far-off Russian city is the key to his missing memory. Unbeknownst to Bond, Kissy reveals, in thought, that she is pregnant. Fleming did not resolve the issue of Kissy’s pregnancy in the remaining Bond stories he wrote before his death. Bond’s son appears for the first (and only) time in Benson’s sequel, “Blast from the Past”.
Well, I know I’m right because I googled to confirm my instincts, which were that based on the widescreen, the hairstyle, and that she’s Asian, it would be someone from You Only Live Once, which indeed it is:
Akiko Wakabayashi from “You Only Live Once” (1967)
Do you get the prize for getting the movie title wrong twice? You Only Live Twice.
But full points, because I didn’t have a clue what film it was until you said it.
Don’t forget, this movie features Sean Connery as the second most implausible “Japanese” man in the history of cinema. Hint: the most implausible “Japanese” man in the history of cinema was in a movie starring the Akiko Wakabayashi of Hollywood, Audrey Hepburn.
Well Kurt is right in principle but Ryan’s right in fact. It is “You Only Live Twice.” I was just captured by this movie still- I guess I always remembered Hama Mie from that movie, not Wakabayashi.
The most implausible “Japanese” man that Ryan’s referring to is Mr. Yuniyoshi (gah!) from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” So many women love that movie, but it’s about a whore- like “Pretty Woman.” That depiction of “Japanese” by Mickey Rooney is about as racist as they come, as far as I am concerned.
uh, I just mis-typed. I know what the title is.
(gen, I sent a second comment through immediately after saying so, but got a “your comment is being reviewed blah blah” message, I guess there’s some sort of spam filtering that says “if the same user posts twice in a minute, then moderate comment”? (but you could’ve at least approved it so I didn’t look like an idiot! )

Hey, that “lame” filter is real lame. I posted the wrong answer twice around 8pm April 15, hee, hee.

Ok, so I found the “filtered” comments- they’re in the “spam” folder because of the links. I need to be able to change that threshold but I cant seem to…grr…
Gen, does the Rooney Yuniyoshi really offend you? I’m not trying to be snyde, I’m asking pretty honestly. Maybe its just because I’m incredibly thick skinned, but I never manage to get actually offended by any of the stereotypical caucasians in Japanese media. Of course there might be other reasons too…
Just by the colors and sideways glance, she has to be a Bond Girl, Kissy-chan.

Hrm- MT is not giving me any notification of these “filtered” comments. I’m not sure what to do…
