I've never read Kiyosaki's book.
Now, I never plan to.
"Rich Dad, Poor Dad contains much wrong advice, much bad advice, some dangerous advice, and virtually no good advice."
John T. Reed’s analysis of Robert T. Kiyosaki’s book Rich Dad, Poor Dad
The page is a bit hard to read as it is very long but the content is well-researched and on point.
What is more disturbing is reading this stuff:
Selected responses to John T. Reed’s analysis of Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
When it's too good to be true, it's too good to be true.
The skeptic in me stays strong.
I'm sorry, but I liked Kiyosaki's book. Don't get me wrong...I don't think he's a great writer. And I do think he's trying to sell his books and seminars by including motivational kool-aid! But there are some good fundamentals here. It certainly motivates a fearful investor such as myself. It does show the basic tricks of the rich person: investing in assets & using corporations. Maybe it'll work for me...maybe it won't. But this book has certainly gotten me motivated to be more proactive about investing in income-generating assets. I just hope I don't lose my shirt.
Peace,

I read his book. Most of the book covered topics which were common sense and the only thing that I learnt from this book was how I should be setting up my own sole proprietorship so that I can declare my imcome and expenses as a company - which I did.
