You probably know more than me but my understanding is the reason iTMS is not available in Japan has to do with the music companies in Japan not give Apple permission so far.
With the backward thinking of music executives in Japan, CDs costing over 3000 yen, and still many, many Japanese meekly parting with their money to that tune, why bother (anyway I picture them trying to sell songs for 199 yen a pop). I say, get your hands full wherever your find them, as long as the free ride continues, and don’t look back, the shame is on them. Who fucking cares anyway.
