I can't really describe this without being close-to-scandalous except to say that this is a very funny site written by an English language teacher in Japan.

Did you used to do this kind of stuff when you were a kid? Can you provide any explanation at all about where the kancho came from? I know it means "enema" but I still can't figure out how little kids came to be sticking their fingers up each others' butts.

I for one am not often a kancho victim, owing to the fact that I am very quick to demonstrate on the kids the kancho's American corollaries, the wedgie and the noogie. If that doesn't work I move right on to seoienage.

I think this is a case where gun culture is actually a good thing. Kids in Japan put their hands in the position of hands together with their index fingers pointed outward with the purpose of sticking them up someone's butt. American kids do the same position to act like they're shooting a gun. For once, a gun is more innocuous :)
