Technorati has launched a new Keyword Watchlist service which allows users to monitor keywords (not just URLs.) The system generates an RSS feed you can then plug into your RSS reader for monitoring.

That said, this is a very handy notification service that should go alongside Google News Alerts in your search and news gathering arsenal of tools.
