Wired profiles anime directors

|

For those of you who don't watch anime at all, here's a good primer on three of the most famous current directors of Japanese animation and their newest movies: Hayao Miyazaki's "Howls Moving Castle," Mamoru Oshii's "Innocence" and Katsuhiro Otomo's "Steamboy."

I saw "Innocence" and was not too impressed. It was gorgeous but too philosophical. Not enough fun/action/comedy.

"Steamboy" has been out for a while and is sort of a "family" movie, so I'll catch it on DVD.

Miyazaki's latest is not out yet.
