This is an incredibly gripping account of a recent battle in Mosul by a US infantryman. Post-attack analysis estimates that over 100 Al-Qaeda operatives attacked US forces in Mosul. US Army analsis compared this firefight to the one in Mogadishu sensationalized by "Black Hawk Down."
This, to me, is news. First-hand accounts. The stuff we see on TV, in the paper, on the radio, is so processed and edited and spun, it is imposible to see the forest for the trees.
