standalone SAMBA servers

Tom's Hardware does a nice review of what looks to be a really cool product. It's a simple standalone SAMBA server which will allow people to put their standalone external HDD onto a network. It also has a nice backup feature as well. It's also priced less than $100 which is reasonable. I wonder if they are planning a Firewire version?

would be even nicer if you could plop a 3.5" drive in to box and be done with it.

agreed this is really cool. i am going to start throwing these into some of the NYCwireless public wireless LANs and see what people start leaving there.

other than porn
;)

If you want Firewire, have a look at the Wiebetech ComboDock.
