Classic!
I was attempting to say, "Your dog is getting hot outside". Later that day when I was relaying the incident to my friend I learned that I was actually saying, "Your sea urchin is getting hot outside". No wonder the woman was reluctant to open the door.On Gaien Higashi Dori: Your Sea Urchin is Getting Hot

Gen,
That is hilarious! My brother is visiting and he just mentioned an incident where a friend was sitting on the train and wanted to offer a seat to an elderly woman. So he gestured towards himself saying "suwatte kudasai" (please sit), but he really was saying "sawatte kudasai" (please touch me)...And he kept insisting even though she looked at him in shock...
Ah, the joys of learning a language. I've done a blunder in French...to embarrassing to recount here though...
What is that? Uni vs. Inu? Ha ha ha. "Please touch me."
yes! how awesome. at least you figured it out. in Korean, i know i am saying all kinds of crazy things but no one can tell me.
