Kevin Werbach asks us to reconsider our conception of radio spectrum because our current notion of it is decades old and irrelevant in today's technology. Spread-spectrum, ultra wide-band wireless, angle-of-arrival, cognitive radio and mesh networking are all new uses of radio spectrum that could never have been done even just a few years ago.
