I am surprised, but happy, to see that Tom Middleton’s project, Global Communication, is in the top 20. I would have put 808 State in the Top 10 and taken out Dig Your Own Hole, but that is me.

Electronica has now been around long enough to warrant canonization of the best albums. Here’s a crack at that from
Justin, get The White Room by KLF. Still one of the best ever ever ever.
Also, I must ask, why are there no Prince albums on here? 1999? This list seems a tad whitewashed.
Justin, I can personally recommend Massive Attack, DJ Shadow, 808 State from this list.
As for whitewashed…nobody’s going to acknowledge the profound impact of Lee “Scratch” Perry’s production style?
