Jane's at the Game Developer's Conference and writes in about presentations she's been witnessing and the potential of gaming's future. I really like the "critique of passivity" that Ken Perlin of NYU was talking about and that's something that has kept me away from owning a console myself. I tell myself that if I don't own a console, I won't be contributing to that "cuture of passivity." At the same time, I don't even own a TV, so it'd be hard to use that console anyway :)
