Joi asked for help in putting together a thesis on "emergent democracy." I didn't contribute much, but I learned a whole lot. Joi talks about emergence, how weblogs have emergent properties, Clay's recent work on power laws and weblogs, Ross Mayfield's work on blog ecosystems, trust in the weblog space, and tools for bloggers.
